Thank you for your interest in joining the MOMS Club® of Chevy Chase/Kensington. We are a support group for stay-at-home and part-time moms serving homes zoned to attend the following elementary schools: Chevy Chase ES, Rock Creek Forest ES, Rosemary Hills ES, Oakland Terrace ES, Rock View ES, and Viers Mill ES. Our club offers the opportunity to socialize with other parents and their children by joining playgroups, attending monthly meetings, and hosting or participating in a number of outings planned each month. Once a month we meet to discuss club business and listen to a variety of speakers.
We invite you to come to a monthly meeting and see what we are all about. Pick up a sample newsletter and check out the calendar. You are allowed to attend two MOMS Club business meetings before becoming a member.

Once you have joined the MOMS Club we will send you an invitation to join our Yahoo Group site. All club business and communications are done via e-mail. This is a wonderful way to stay connected as a group and get information regarding upcoming calendar events, the newsletter, exchanging tips on getting babies to sleep through the night, to sharing names of good house painters, or posting items for sale. So please remember to provide us with your e-mail address on the application form and you will receive the newsletter, monthly activities, and other club business.
We are ALWAYS looking for members to help host activities. Each member is asked to host at least one activity a year. It is as easy as meeting for a play date at a park or taking a stroller walk. We encourage you to volunteer and support your MOMS club. It’s easy and fun to do. A handout on “How to Host a MOMS Club Activity” is available at the monthly meetings in the newcomers packet.
We are also always looking for members who want to get involved. Elections for board positions occur every June and is a great way to get involved in the club. There are five board positions including President, Administrative Vice President, Membership Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. And/or become involved with the club by getting on a planning committee anytime of the year. This is a great way to get to know other moms, with reasonable time commitments and expectations. Committees include Programming, Mom’s Night Out, Service Project, Meals for Moms, Hospitality, Book Club, Community Events, Picnic and Holiday Party.
